Marcelo Bielsa’s decision to allow Aston Villa to equalise in the match at Elland Road has split opinion.
Leeds went 1-0 up in their Championship match after refusing to put the ball out while Jonathan Kodjia being down injured.
A brawl broke out as soon as Mateusz Klich scored and Villa’s Anwar El Ghazi was sent off for an apparent elbow on Patrick Bamford.
Bielsa ordered his players to allow Albert Adomah to score to level things up at 1-1.
Not even all his own players agreed with the decision as Pontus Jansson tried to prevent Adomah from scoring.
Some believe it was the right decision to make while others have criticised Bielsa and said Leeds were right to keep playing.
After the game, he said: “English football is known around the world for its noble features of how we play.â€
By allowing Aston Villa to score and level the game at 1-1 it ended Leeds’ slim prospects of getting automatic promotion.
Bielsa’s comments allude to the fact he did it in the interests of fair play and perhaps he did not want to win in such a way and make all the stories be about that incident.
Others have been a little more cynical and suggested that he may have seen an easy win in light of the ‘spygate’ scandal earlier in the season.
Whatever the reasons, it will effectively draw a line under the incident.

Had Leeds won the game through a controversial goal there would almost certainly have been far greater outrage than there was criticism for the decision.
The two sides may even meet again this season in the play-off final and it would have been the story dominating the agenda.
Many would have accused Leeds of being cheats and only used it against them going into the play-offs.
Letting Villa score had no consequences at the end of the day.

It is a long time playing without Roofe, that is something that is true. He couldn't play any games to help him with the under-23s. We will see how fast he can adapt to the team and we will see this through the training with the team. The under-23s games are a higher test, then the most important is with the first team.
