Manchester United news: Norwegian TV station mocks Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with hilarious Austin Powers video

A Norweigan TV channel has hilariously mocked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on social media following the Manchester United’s manager’s terrible run of form.

TV Sporten poked fun at the Old Trafford chief, producing a clip of him as Austin Powers trying to manoeuvre a luggage cart – a reference to the ‘Ole’s at the wheel’ chant sung by United fans since his appointment.

The clip, which is an extract from the cult comedy Austin Powers, shows Solskjaer trying to wriggle his way out of a tight space with a three-point turn, but failing miserably.

He tries to make space to complete the turn but ends up bumping into both walls on either side in a nightmare situation.

It demonstrates just how much the Old Trafford boss’ fortune has changed, with the same TV channel lauding his appointment just a month ago.

United’s slump in form, in which they have lost seven of their last nine matches, is their worst run of results for 57 years – and it has raised questions about whether the former Molde boss is the right fit in the hot-seat.

However, Solskjaer has remained defiant following the defeat, insisting his side will bounce back from their bad form.

“Having a time like this we must stick together, batten down the hatches and make sure we don’t do anything rash or stupid,” he said.

“We must stick together as a team and come back fighting.”

Meanwhile former Red Devil Roy Keane has launched a scathing attack on the current crop of United stars, claiming they will throw Solskjaer under the boss like they did with Mourinho.

He said: “I’m always intrigued after games when managers say: ‘they will be up for the next game’. You have to be up for every game. I don’t care whether its Man United or Altrincham.

“I don’t fall for the things said that they will now play well. These are the same players who threw Mourinho under the boss and they will do the same to Ole.

“Leopards don’t change their spots. There are too many bluffers at this club to get United back to the very top.”
