Harry Wilson is unlikely to get his chance at Liverpool next season, according to an Anfield expert.

The 22-year-old scored 18 Championship goals in his last campaign, but could not lift Derby County out of the second tier.

As a result, the Wales international's future has come under scrutiny, with a host of Premier League and Championship sides keen on making a move; be it permanent or temporary.

But one place where Wilson is unlikely to play on a regular basis is Anfield, but Paul Gorst of the Liverpool Echo believes Jurgen Klopp is unlikely to hand the starlet a starting berth.

He wrote: ” Liverpool are now at a position where they can attract most players in world football and if Wilson wasn’t already their player, there’s no way they would be looking to bring in a midfielder from the Championship, even one who had as good a season as Wilson.

“His flair for the spectacular has caught the eye of Liverpool fans, but his overall game is still someway off being able to muscle out the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in the wide areas of the Reds’ attack. I think he certainly has a future in the Premier League but whether that’s at a team with lofty ambitions like Liverpool remains to be seen. It’s a huge pre-season for him.

Memphis Depay is not interested in a move to Everton as he reportedly feels the club is not prestigious enough for him.

Liverpool have also identified the former Manchester United forward as a potential summer signing following an impressive couple of seasons with Lyon, reports claim.

Marco Silva wants to bolster his attack and is interested in bringing Depay to Goodison Park, but the Dutchman is apparently not keen on joining the Toffees.

Nicolas Pepe is ready to snub Premier League interest to move to Bayern Munich.

The Lille winger, 24, is on Liverpool and Manchester United’s summer shortlist, but also has a big offer from the Bundesliga champions.

According to The Sun, Bayern are ready to swoop in a £70million deal for the Ivory Coast international after struggling to agree a fee for Manchester City forward Leroy Sane.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has tracked the French-born star as he looks for a young right-winger to bolster his attack.

And Jurgen Klopp has also considered Pepe following his Champions League triumph, with the Kop boss only tweaking his squad to add quality this summer.

Pepe caught the eye last season helping Lille finish in second place and earn a place in Europe’s top competition.

But Bayern also have him in mind to replace Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben at the Allianz Arena.

Galatasaray are closing in on the signing of Daniel Sturridge on a free transfer, according to Aspor.

Sturridge is out of contract at Liverpool this summer after helping the Reds win the Champions League in Madrid last weekend.

Fatih Terim is a reported admirer of the 29-year-old who has also turned out for Chelsea and Manchester City.

Aspor reckon Galatasaray have tabled a big-money three year deal to try and tempt Sturridge to Turkey.

Bild have rubbished reports linking Sadio Mane with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

Less than a week after Jurgen Klopp was linked with a return to Germany to take over at the Allianz Arena, L'Equipe claimed Mane was a target for the Bavarians.

But Bild have moved quickly to dispel these rumours.

They said: “According to the French sports newspaper 'L’Equipe' the Munich team has another Premier League star in its sights. Sadio Mané (27) of the newly crowned Champion League winner FC Liverpool will be a candidate.

“But what about the rumors? SPORT BILD assessment: A commitment is very unlikely!”

Maddison was impressive during his maiden term for the Foxes and has also been linked with Liverpool and Tottenham.

“All of the top-six have been linked with a move for the Englishman, but it’s Manchester United at 4/11 who have shot to the head of affairs and look to be the only side in with a chance of signing him.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has revealed he wants to stay at Liverpool for the rest of his career and captain the Reds.

The right-back was an unused subsititute for England as they crashed out of the Nations League, but has enjoyed a remarakble ascent to the very top.

Back-to-back Champions League final appearances, a World Cup semi-final and establishing himself as one of the best in the Premier League may have lead to complacency for some players.

But the 20-year-old has even loftier ambitions.

He told Sky Sports of his future plans: “I am fortunate to have the people around me who understand the balance between letting me get comfortable, praising me too much and feeding that hunger that needs to be there in terms of wanting to strive to be better, wanting to be one of the best players in the world, the best right back in the world, being the first name on the team-sheet, wanting to be Liverpool captain, wanting to be England captain.

“That’s the main thing for me. It’s not selfishness to think this is what I have done it is about what the team has done and is doing. It is we and not I. We have achieved things as a team.

“To be recognised as one of the best in the world you have to have silverware behind you. That’s important to us as a team to be recognised as one of the best.”

Neymar's comments about Liverpool have come back to haunt the Paris Saint-Germain star.

Prior to the Champions League group stages last season where the Reds faced the Ligue 1 champions, the world's most expensive footballer gave his verdict on Jurgen Klopp's men.

Speaking with the Express, he said: “Liverpool are not good enough. They will not finish in the top four this season. Manchester City will win the title, Man United second, Chelsea third and Tottenham fourth.”

While most of his early season predictions came true, Liverpool in fact pushed City all the way in the title race, losing out by a single point after collecting 97 points.

However, it was that special night in Madrid where Jordan Henderson lifted the Champions League trophy which will live long in the memory and really irk Neymar.

Frenkie de Jong has told reported Liverpool target Matthijs de Ligt to join him at Barcelona.

The Ajax star has wrapped up a move to the Camp Nou with De Ligt also believed to be interesting the Spanish champions.

“I hope De Ligt will come with me to Barça, I hope so,” De Jong told the Mirror.

“Of course we have talked about his future, but I am clear that it is a matter that he and his family must decide.

“What I can not do is influence his decision. It is something that he must resolve in the next few days with his own. He knows what I would like.”

Matthijs de Ligt will not be moving to the Premier League, according to Montecarlo Radio.

Dutchman De Ligt, who helped his country to a Nations League semi-final victory over England last night, has been linked with both Liverpool and Manchester United this summer

Bayern Munich have also been dismissed as a potential destination.

Philippe Coutinho has asked Barcelona to leave this summer, according to Cadena SER.

The midfielder has lifted two LaLiga titles since his lucrative £142m move from Liverpool in 2018, but was subject to jeers from his own fans after a humiliating Champions League exit at Anfield last season.

Coutinho only managed five goals and two assists during the campaign and his future is said to be unclear.

Cadena, however, reckon he has asked officials for a move to reignite his career.

Liverpool have entered the race to sign Sporting Lisbon captain Bruno Fernandes, according to Record.

Fernandes’ agent will jet into England for talks with Manchester United, with rivals City also linked.

Lisbon are prepared to sell for £70m after the skipper bagged an incredible 26 goals from midfield last term.

United were hoping to tie up a deal after the Nations League final where Fernandes helped guide Portugal into the final against Holland earlier this week.

Record, however, believe both Liverpool and Tottenham could now look to hijack any potential transfer to Old Trafford.

The Star say a number of the club's fringe players are available for transfer, with the likes of Nathaniel Clyne, Ryan Kent and Harry Wilson expected to depart Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp is hoping to raised around £100million from these sales having spent big on Alisson, the goalkeeper, and defender Virgil van Dijk over the past 18 months.

Everton are rivalling Liverpool in the race to sign Memphis Depay.

The former Manchester United forward has been a key player for Lyons over the past couple of seasons, and he ended 2018/19 with 10 goals and 10 assists to his name.

He is said to want to leave the French club this summer, however, and a move back to the Premier League has been mooted.

Liverpool were linked with Depay last month, and Everton have now emerged as holding an interest in the 25-year-old.

However, according to L'Equipe, Depay does not want to move to Goodison Park as he feels Everton are not prestigious enough for him.

Nabil Fekir, who came so close to joining Liverpool last summer, is available for just €15million.

The Lyons forward is likely to be sold this summer as his club have decided to cash in, and there is sure to be serious interest in the 25-year-old.

Liverpool were linked with Fekir again in January after their failed move last summer, but it is unclear whether Jurgen Klopp still retains interest in him.

“I signed for five years with Lyon and I’m happy there but we’ll see what happens,” said the 22-year-old.

“I’m happy to stay with Lyon next season but we’ll see.”

Souness told the Irish Independent: “Real Madrid and Barcelona will be sniffing round Salah and Mane and I think one of them will be targeted this summer.

“Both of those clubs are in the process of rebuilding and they tend to tempt any player when they go after them.”
