Gary Neville dodges pint thrown by Manchester City fans as the Manchester United legend made his way to Amex Stadium

Gary Neville had a pint thrown at him by Manchester City fans before their Premier League clash with Brighton at the Amex Stadium on the final day of the season.

The Manchester United favourite was at the ground to cover the match for Sky Sports and had to make his way through a group of supporters to get to the stadium.

Some City fans were more diplomatic and appeared to apologise on behalf of the others.

Showing restraint, the 44-year-old quickly left the area and managed to get up some stairs before giving the fans a thumbs up when he neared the top.

Pep Guardiola’s side went on to lift the Premier League title after a 4-1 win over Brighton to secure a second consecutive title.

City claimed their fourth Premier League title on Sunday but still have some way to go to match Neville’s eight individual league trophies won while at their rivals.
