Jose Mourinho believes the English sides remaining in the Champions League don’t have enough experience to go all the way in this year’s competition.
The former Manchester United and Chelsea boss instead remains convinced Juventus and Barcelona will meet at the Wanda Metropolitano on June 1 – with a football megastar reunion to follow.
The quarter-finals are looming large as the Premier League clubs look to end a long wait for final success.
The last English side to get their hands on the trophy were Chelsea back in 2012.
Speaking to Calciomercato, Mourinho said: “Favourites? I would say Juve and Barcelona.
“Everyone talks about Ronaldo and Messi – but I prefer to talk about Juve and Barca.

“When you have Ronaldo or Messi, it certainly gives you a big plus.â€
The last eight showdown gets underway in the second week of April as Premier League champions Manchester City face Spurs while Barca do battle with Mourinho’s old club United.

Ajax face Juventus and their three-goal hero Ronaldo is looking to win his fourth Champions League on the trot.
Meanwhile, last year’s finalists Liverpool will need to overcome the challenge of Porto to go one step closer to avenging their defeat to Real Madrid in the 2018 final.
Mourinho has meanwhile revealed he plans to return to management in June this year.
He says he has rejected “three or four” offers to get back in the dugout since being given the boot at Old Trafford in December.
“I would like to be back in the summer in June for a new club and a new pre-season,”  he told beIN SPORTS.
“I know exactly what I don’t want. I know what I want, in terms of not the specific club but the nature of the job, the dimension of the job.
“I am working, preparing myself for the next one.â€
